On day one visit Featherdale Wildlife Park in the morning and have lunch at the cafe inside the park then get back on your private minibus and continue on to Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary in the afternoon.
Begin your animal adventure tour at Featherdale Wildlife Park, opening at 9:00 am. In the morning animal keepers will give talks on Reptiles, Crocodiles, Pelican's, and Penguins. At noon rendezvous at the cafe to have lunch and meet up with your minibus driver for the next leg of your journey.
In the afternoon arrive at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary. Spend three hours in the park taking your time through each of the exhibits and taking in a show or two. The activity calendar changes with the day of the week. For pre planning you can check their daily activities calendar.
View sharks from a fisheyes view in the incredible Shark Harbour. Enter the 4 million litre oceanarium through the underwater tunnel and look up in amazement to see sharks from a perspective very few people ever get to experience. You will be able to see giant stingrays, Sea Biscuit the green sea turtle, and Grey Nurse Sharks.
Nightly from July to February people come to see the penguins at Penguin Cove. The little penguins come ashore every night for breeding season. The Little Penguins have been declared endangered and the local area is a critical habitat for their population. Even though breeding season is seven months the LIttle Penguins can be seen year round at Manly Sea Life Sanctuary.
Discover the diversity of the animals that call Sydney Harbour home. You will find more species in Sydney Harbour that the entire Mediterranean Sea. Get up close to underwater sea creatures and see the tentacles on an octopus, the uniqueness of the seahorse, lionfish, cuttlefish, sharks and more. Kids can hold a crab, or touch the egg of an actual shark. This hands on learning experience will have your kids completely engaged.
Visit Shipwreck Shores for an interactive learning experience designed to teach kids about the importance of conservation. A serious play zone for serious fun. Kids and adults alike can pretend to be a ships captain. It is the hope of Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary Âto instill a passion and dedication for the ocean so the children of today will safeguard the seas for future generations.
On the second day of your Animal Adventure Tour visit three more parks,
Begin the second day of your Animal Adventure with a ferry ride to the Taronga Zoo. Arrive at the zoo for its opening at 9:00 am and spend the morning viewing any of the 4,000 animals that call Taronga Zoo home. At 11:30 am choose between keeper talks for the Tasmanian Devil, or the Chimpanzee. Once the keeper talks are over it'Âs time to leave Taronga and head to the next stop on your animal adventure tour.
Explore nightfall in the middle of the day! Due to Australia's extreme desert climate many of the indigenous animals have evolved to be nocturnal. As a result many of the animals evolved to be active at night. This makes them very difficult to observe in any setting other than our Explore Nightfall exhibit. Learn about how animals navigate in the darkness, with skills such as echolocation, and extreme hearing.
After exploring the night creatures head over to Butterfly Tropics, a tropical enclosure complete with ferns, Pythons basking in the sun, and butterflies flitting to and fro. Find out why Australia can host such a large number of animals and plants.
Last, become part of the action with the Wild Discovery Zone. This new attraction will immerse children in hands on learning with crafts, experiments, and teach detective skills. Use microscopes and x-rays, and touch scaly reptiles. The Wild Discovery Zone is designed to inspire the imagination of children and get them enthusiastic about life sciences.
Then for your final stop in the Animal Adventure Sydney Tour head next door to the Sydney Sea Life Aquarium to catch the 5:00 pm showing of JAWsome Shark Talk at the Reef Theatre. Learn how critical the role of sharks is in protecting the Great Barrier Reef.
Once JAWsome is over, spend the remaining time at the Aquarium exploring the thousands of animals and hundreds of species that call our ocean home.
Once you have completed your animal adventure and the Aquarium is closed it is time to reconnect with your private coach driver and get back to you accommodation.
