11th Annual Sydney Comedy Festival 20 April – 17 May
2015 welcomes the Annual Sydney Comedy Festival for the 11th year in a row. A full month with over 180 different shows celebrating the kings of satire from around the world. Beginning in mid April and going through the 17th of May come get your laugh on. Twenty-two different venues of all sizes and types will be used for different types of performances.
There will be performances geared toward families, adults, kids, cabaret lovers, theatre lovers, stand up, skit, circus, and more. There is even one venue that is listed as top secret and will not be revealed until the day of the show and only revealed to those who are confirmed to go.
The Dream – Australian Ballet inspired by a Midsummer Nights Dream 29 April – 16 May
Is it possible to give a classic Shakespearean comedy an authentic new twist? Sure it is, when you Shakespeare meets Ballet suddenly you have The Dream. A ballet put on by the Australian Ballet that is inspired by a Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Photographers – The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition at the Australian Museum 28 March – 05 October 2015
This is not an event but a long term exhibit that can be viewed at the Australian Museum opposite Hyde Park. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition features 100 award-winning images in this year’s exhibition. This year marks 50 years for this prestigious photography event. Witness the natural wonder and diversity of the world we live in.
The Bead Show 01-03 May 2015
For all things bead and bead related Sydney would like to welcome the Bead Show. This annual show has thousands of beads to choose from in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Come and shop for casual beading at home or enter the Inspired Colours Competition where first prize is $500.

Guided Walk Epping to Gordon Traverse 02 May 2015
For those that like to get outside and be one with nature. This leisurely bush walk takes you through Lane Cove National Park. Your guided walk will begin at the Epping train station and down through the Lane Cove National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for birds and other wildlife. Cross many of the creeks and streams along the valley. Then once to the bottom climb back up through Blackbutt Reserve and end at Gordon railway station.
Vivid Sydney – 22 May to 08 June
For THE light and sound show to end all light and sound shows once again Vivid Sydney will be on the Opera House for two weeks. This show will illuminate the sails of the Sydney Opera House. Watch the lights dance in time to a most creative sound show.
Port to Port Newcastle Australia 28 May to 31 May
Ride a bicycle in a radical race from Port Stephens, through the Hunter Valley and ending in Newcastle. This four day bike race is drawing entrants from all over the world. Registration for the 2015 Port to Port MTB is still open and the race will begin on the 28th of May. Register for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 days.
