Gresswell Nature Conservation Reserves

All three nature conservation reserves cover a total area of more than seventy hectares and is located within Bundoora and Macleod’s suburbs. The reserves were built to protect the significant and diverse flora and fauna of the locality. In 2012, Parks Victoria was assigned to take responsibility and manage the reserves. The reserves are a great place to do some wildlife watching and are popular for its walking trails. While there are no toilets, picnics tables and barbecues here. Similar amenities can be found on Greenwood Drive which is council-managed and is adjacent to the reserve.

Northland Shopping Centre

This is a major shopping centre that can only be found in Preston and it possesses a strong retail mix. It houses more than three hundred retailers which include Toys ‘R’ Us, Woolworths and Lincraft. If you are coming with the family, you will also want to consider catching a movie at the Hoyts Megaplex. With a wide range of fashion apparel brands to choose from, you can do some random shopping at G-Star Raw, Forever New or Country Road as well. If you prefer to have a slow day, coming to Northland Shopping Centre will be a good choice as you do not need to do much walking.
