The 39 Steps

Located at the Campbelltown Town Hall Theatre, The 39 Steps is a play written by Bill Buchan in the 1910s and was turned into a film in 1935 by Alfred Hitchcock. If you have seen the movie before, you will be in for a delightful treat. In addition, many who have seen the play mentioned that they were unprepared for how funny this stage adaption is. The play is filled with fabulous period fashion and slapstick humour, so head down to the Town Hall Theatre on 4th March for an experience that will leave you aching from laughter!

Newtown Markets

Located at Newtown, the markets will be open on 9th March 2016 and you can see anything from the old to the new. Often said as the Home of All Things Cool, Newtown is a wonderful place that allows you to peruse original creations of the local community, rare vinyls (that are out of production), vintage clothing and more. The markets start from 10am and ends at 4pm, so you would not want to miss this quaint community and not explore the various eclectic shops that line the street.

Liverpool Night Markets

Happening on 5th March 2016, the ever-popular Liverpool Night Markets is making a return in a new location, which is at the historic St Luke’s Church in Liverpool. This is a family-friendly event and it kicks off at 5pm. There is a fun medieval theme surrounding the event and there is a great line-up of live music performances and interactive activities. Some of the main highlights include a live fighting demonstration. If you ever get hungry, hog a seat while enjoying tantalising international street foods that are sold from the vendors on-site.

Bradfield Park

It’s a dogs’ day out in Bradfield Park! Hosted by the North Sydney Council, this special family-friendly event is all about celebrating our canine friends and will be held on 6th March 2016. What’s more, the event is FREE and will kick off at 10am. Featuring a jam-packed programme, you can go on to be amazed by street performers, watch the ongoing owner and dog look-alike competitions and more! If you have always been intrigued by those obedience and agility demonstrations, you’re in luck as the District Kennel and Dog Training Club will be performing.

St Ives Food and Wine Festival 2016

On 6th March 2016, the annual St Ives Food and Wine Festival will take place from 10am to 4pm. The festival will leave you spoilt for choice with an abundance of sampling stalls, spectacular wineries and boutique beers as well as international food stalls. If your kids are tagging along, there is entertainment for them too! Kid-friendly activities include animal farm and face painting. Another reason not to miss this event is because many great prizes are up for grabs! Jazz with The Moods

Located at the historic Eryldene House, which is one of Sydney’s gorgeous colonial Georgian historical homes, there will be a live Jazz performance by The Moods from 4pm to 8pm, on 6th March. If you want to know more about the house, it contains twelve rooms and has unbelievably retained most of its original artworks and furniture that dates back to the early 20th century. The gardens are also simply stunning and the spaces are well known for Maple trees, Jacarandas, and Camellias, just to name a delightful few.

Sydney Harbour Regatta

Sydney is no stranger to some of the world’s biggest sporting events. From 5th to 6th March 2016, the Middle Harbour Yacht Club will be hosting one of the largest, competitive keelboat regattas in the country. Over two hundred keelboats will be racing on various course areas on Sydney Harbour and Offshore. If you are free on the weekends and want to enjoy some live entertainment, visit the Club! What’s more, there are various vantage points around harbour so you won’t have any problems getting a clear view.

Sydney Autumn Carnival

Located at Rosehill Gardens, the thoroughly exhilarating carnival will be held from 12th to 26th March 2016. Sydney Harbour Secrets
