A Weekend In Brisbane : Top Places To Eat Brunch

Use Bus Hire in Brisbane and Bring Your Own Family to the Best Brunch Places in the City!

If you are planning a weekend escape in Brisbane, you will be delighted to know that the city is the epicentre of trendy happenings these days. Also known as a business city, the capital of Queensland is currently home to many great bars, cafes and other cultural staples which include live music and arts. As you are most likely making multiple stops along the journey, opting for bus hire in Brisbane will be a smart choice to make your commute much more comfortable and efficient.

As Brisbane is not a bustling tourist destination as compared to what’s available in the East Coast, it will be the perfect place for a relaxed short getaway for both families and friends. However, your trip may not be as fulfilling without gorging yourselves with good food. We understand that brunch is a hot favourite, especially on the weekends, thus here are some of the top places to eat brunch with your buddies!

Plenty

Nestled at 284 Montague Road, West End, Plenty is a rustic cafe that has unique elements of a restored factory. Aimed to give you a home away from home experience, the interior of the cafe features wood panelled walls and palettes that are stacked to lofty heights. The kitchen features an open plan concept and the wonderful staff here will make you delectable sandwiches and lovingly prepared coffee brews. Be prepared to indulge yourselves in breads that are artisan, and made from local produce and in-house condiments. A must-try is the Macadamia Butter Turkish Toast!

Wild Canary

Located on 2371 Moggill Road, Brookfield, Wild Canary never ceases to amaze visitors with their secret garden oasis concept. Situated within the Brookfield Garden Centre, the place offers an escapist experience that you will not soon forget. Headed by Chef Glen Barratt, the menu here is garden centric, seasonally dominant, and uses organically grown ingredients and herbs. Not only is their Halloumi to die for, the food here is Instagram-perfect. Don’t forget about their cakes too!

Lost Boys

Located at 694 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, Lost Boys will first greet you with its blackboard sign stating that it’s offering free coconut-milk coffee if you can beat the barista in a game of rock paper scissors! Now you’re feeling more warmed up, you can continue to immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere that consists of a giant tree installation, low strung lights, leaf canopy ceiling and even a rope bridge. The menus here are pasted inside vintage hard covers and resemble a storybook. For starters, try ordering their famous vegetarian food.

Hatch & Co – Gasworks

Located at 76 Skyring Terrace, Newstead, Hatch & Co provides an indoor and outdoor dining experience as well as a relaxed bar. Simply put, this will be the perfect destination for a lazy weekend brunch with your friends and loved ones. The beautiful open space overlooks the iconic Brisbane Gasometer and serves up rustic home-style and nourishing dishes using local produce. From seeded crispbread to wood- fired chicken wings, be prepared to tantalize your tastebuds with anything on their extensive menu.

Chester Street Bakery

Located at 32A Chester Street, Newstead, Chester Street Bakery is the perfect place for anyone who has a sweet tooth. The cakes here are tall, the blue tiles are iconic and the tables are amusingly mismatched. It is hard to be anything else but happy here. Brunch is available here and you can fill your tummies with eggs on toasts, leg ham and cheddar cheese toasted sandwiches, or if you’re feeling slightly hungrier, try their Chester Street full breakfast set!

Hops Scotch and Beans

Located in Spring Hill, Hops Scotch and Beans is a cafe slash roastery and bar. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apart from their aromatic coffee that’s roasted on site, their brunch menu is a real treat and you cannot make a bad choice when ordering. If you are planning to come here, don’t miss out on their mouth-watering Breakfast Brioche-Bun Burger which has poached eggs, hollandaise, bacon and watercress!

Cawfee

Located in Brisbane’s central business district, Cawfee is a new café and bar that serves great breakfast like a pro. Their New York style bagels are to die for and they sit alongside more goodies such as tasty toasts and sweet bagels. Cawfee has an epic savoury breakfast bagel which consists of an awesome mix of Swiss cheese, bacon and avocado – all perfectly set on a toasted bagel. If you’re feeling lucky, go for their Manhattan Breakfast.

Putia Pure Food

Located at Shop 4, 17 Royal Parade, Banyo, Putia Pure Food is an enchanting breakfast spot which blends home-grown honesty with contemporary cool. They make killer waffles that are accompanied by mascarpone and salted caramel sauce. You might want to try their spiced pumpkin versions as well.

If you are planning to visit a few of these wonderful places and you are travelling in a big group, then opting for bus hire service in Brisbane will be an excellent idea.
