Bus charter in Brisbane can take you from your accommodations to any music festival in town and back again when it’s over. Could you drive yourself? Sure. But why put up with all the hassle, stress, unfamiliar roads, and traffic if you don’t have to? You’re heading out to a fantastic music venue at which you are going to have the time of your life! Why spoil it with an excruciating drive? Leave the driving to the professionals, particularly when you’re in a strange land and especially if you are attending an event at which alcohol will be consumed. Here are the biggest music events that will take place in Brisbane this year so book your bus charter and get ready to go!
Music by the Sea
Since 1997, Music by the Sea has been an annual event bringing arts and music to the community in the belief that they are essential for growth and well-being. This particular venue offers attendees world music by international, national, and local musicians performing popular, jazz, folk, and classical pieces.
At the Sandgate Town Hall, at 7:30 PM, on March 2, Music by the Sea presents solo Italian violinist Luca Ciarla. Future performers include the following:
- April 6 performance by guitarist Giuseppe Zangari and flutist Jane Rutter
- The Riverside Guitar Ensemble performing on May 4
- Guitarist Gerard Mapstone and violinist Shenton Gregory on June 1… and more.
St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival
With locations all over Australia, this festival stops over in Brisbane bringing fresh Seminole music. If a unique setting is what you’re looking for, you’re wondering what’s happening with today’s music aficionados, and/or wish to experience live music in a fresh and exciting way, be sure to attend the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
Unfortunately, the festival itself took place on February 9 of 2019. However, Laneway is happy to present, throughout the year, various acts such as the following:
- April 24 through May 10, Billie Eilish
- March 3 (Sunday) through March 7 (Thursday) The Internet and Pond… and more
BIGSOUND Festival
The festivities run from September 3rd through the 6th this year, and it will be like no other music festival in the country. Over 160 new music acts, some of the hottest from Australia and surrounding areas, will hit Brisbane this year. And if you really want to enjoy the festivities to their fullest, look into the purchase of an all-access-wristband – they’re cheap as chips! Some of the groups that may well have gotten their start at this festival include Gang of Youths, Courtney Barnett, Megan Washington, Rufus, and Flame.
Minden 4th Live Music Festival
Taking place from March 29 through the 31st, this 70s themed party features glam and rock shows with five bands playing for three days straight. Cover bands and tribute bands get to blow the roof off of this venue for at least two hours with no noise restrictions!
The dance area is awesome, and this indoor event is a BYOB drinks Festival. Though other accommodations are available, some attendees have been found camping out on the doorstep!
Watch the world go by while you sit back and unwind at the Minden Retreat, if you’re looking for just the right accommodations. Packages are available for combination motel stay, camping, or hostile sharing with admittance to the entire festival.
CMC Rocks Queensland
From March 14 through the 17th, Australia’s biggest annual international roots and country festival takes place. Leading the charge this year is Luke Bryan, country music megastar and four-time CMC Entertainer of the Year. Over 32 more artists will attend the event including Kelsea Ballerini and Grammy winner Darius Rucker. This is a family friendly event with ticket prices varying as follows:
- Children – $79 to $234
- Adults – $79 to $670
Brisbane Festival
This year, from September 6th through the 28th, Brisbane is presenting a massive list of talent at the Brisbane Festival – including some truly special offerings. Here is a sample of what to expect:
- Returning for a rare show is Cold Chisel, the Cruel Sea, and Beasts of Bourbon’s Tex, Don, and Charlie – Australian icons.
- Rock-loving Brisbane is happy to welcome High Tension – Melbourne’s hard rockers – who promise to rock your world with an intense set.
- After a long break, and performing numbers from their new album, SNOW, Angus and Julia Stone will perform.
- Special performance by Megan Washington and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
- London Grammar brings you a headline performance after recently completing Truth Is a Beautiful Thing, their latest album.
- Other performers will include Aussie legends The Saints, Ed Kuepper, Ngaiire, Thelma Plumb, Regurgitator, The Preatures, Ali Barter and more.
Of course, there is more to this festival than just music. Festival goers will also experience amazing closing fireworks displays, art and theatre performances, lots of comedy, and countless other presentations.
Jungle Love Festival
Though dates are still pending, sometime between November and December, the Jungle Love Festival is planned. Established back in 2014, this boutique arts and music festival experience is held in Southeast Queensland in the picturesque Mary Valley region. Music and art aficionados handpick every act that perform, and choices are made by level of quality, not whether or not they are chart busters. Soak up nature’s untamed beauty as you leisurely float down the stream listening to some of the finest tunes around.
Step away from everyday life’s hustle and bustle and embark on a natural, annual pilgrimage with like-minded people that want to share this incredible experience. Bring old friends or meet new ones at this wholesome gathering.
This event is only made possible by the participation of all the volunteers that help out. And the goal is to enjoy nature – not destroy it. That means leaving as much unnecessary gear at home as is possible, and always picking up after yourself. Ticket sale money goes toward paying off this year’s event and, if any is left over, starting on next year’s festival. The event is not commercially viable. Remember, only 2000 tickets are sold, so get yours early.
No matter what Brisbane music festival you decide to attend, booking bus charter in Brisbane is a smart choice. There’s no sense in getting stressed out before such an invigorating experience (or relaxing, depending on your outlook and the festival you attend). In fact, hiring a professionally driven vehicle for all your transport needs is a good thing to figure into your vacation budget, no matter where you travel.
