Rouse Hill House

This heritage-listed property at the Windsor Road was initially the family residency of Richard Rouse. He was the Colonial Superintendent of Public Works and Convicts in Parramatta. Between 1813 and 1819, the farmhouse was developed in the typical Georgian style, and is now open to public, thanks to Sydney Living Museums. A majority of the earlier grounds have been turned into Rouse Hill Park and ensuing commercial and residential developments. In the year 1999, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Prospect Reservoir

One of the biggest water supply and storage reservoirs in the country, the Prospect Reservoir has a capacity of 50,200 mega litre. The Chinese translation for garden is ‘Yuan’. The artistic style of the structure within the garden is based on the Qing Dynasty and Ming dynasty in China. It features a Waterfall Gazebo, Light Mountain Pavilion, Seven Arch Stone Bridge and a Gateway. The gardens are relaxing, scenic and stunning.
